Autumn Shadows

My work explores everyday Finnish nature as having unique intrinsic value and relevant contemporary significance. My painting process has grown organically out of spending long days in the forests painting, and carrying its flora back to my studio when the weather doesn’t allow. Set within the context of our changing relationship with the natural world, climate crisis and declining biodiversity, I aim for my works to explore the value we place, and the connections we feel, to these vital tree filled spaces.
