I am a visual artist working in the field of expanded painting.
My artistic practice consists of large paintings on silk and smaller oil and watercolour paintings on gessoed wood. Thematically I explore concepts of transition, space and materiality. Materials (found and bought) often play a major part in the assemblage of my artwork and direct the flat surface to a more spacial approach. I investigate on the concepts of "work" and "outcome" and the thin line that exists between the maker and the ready object. My background is mixed (FIN/ITA) and this mixture of places and language greatly affects my practice, finding it pleasant to move in in-between-spaces.
