My concerns in painting are as varied as the subject matter. I enjoy engaging with themes and ideas that are entirely different from each, often working on them simultaneously.
One project for example can be concerned with trying to understand bark structure and representing forms found within that, while alongside it another project will be exploring the possibilities of the shape of a section of dinosaur fossil that is of interest to me.
Whatever engages me I will paint or draw. The act of representation allows the practice of painting and drawing as a medium and technique.
