Maryam Sajedi is a Helsinki-based visual artist who approaching material not simply as a surface but as an active part of the artwork. Bringing together image, material, and process, she explores how meaning develops through making and how different visual languages can coexist within the same work. Her practice is shaped by careful attention to materials, slow processes, and the relationship between past and present.
She holds an MFA in Printmaking from the Academy of Fine Arts, Uniarts Helsinki, and an MFA in Painting and Illustration from the University of Tehran, Iran.
